Gulbahar Cement Project Inaugurated
Zinda Jan District, Herat Province, Afghanistan.The Gulbahar Cement Project, with an investment of US$143 million, has officially been inaugurated in Zinda Jan District, Herat Province, Afghanistan. In its first phase, the project will have a production capacity of more than 5,000 tons of cement per day, marking a significant step toward the development of Afghanistan’s industrial sector, strengthening domestic production, and meeting the country’s growing demand for construction materials. The project is also expected to create approximately 2,500 direct and indirect employment opportunities, providing significant economic benefits to local communities and contributing to job creation and economic growth in Afghanistan. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs ; Mullah Abdul Salam Hanafi Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs; Alhaj Mullah Hedayatullah Badri Minister of Mines and Petroleum; Mawlawi Noor Ahmad Islamjar Governor of Herat and other high-ranking government officials, business leaders, and investors. The Gulbahar Cement Project reflects Gulbahar Investment’s commitment to investing in Afghanistan’s industrial and infrastructure sectors, supporting economic growth, creating employment opportunities, and strengthening domestic production.
