Upon completion, the power generation and energy project will have a production capacity of 50 megawatts (MW), providing electricity and lighting to several provinces across Afghanistan and contributing significantly to the development of the country’s energy infrastructure. The project is being implemented under the supervision of local and international engineers, in coordination and cooperation with the Ministry of Energy and Water and the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum. Construction and implementation activities are progressing rapidly, and the project is expected to be commissioned and operational in the near future. The completion of this project will represent an important step toward increasing Afghanistan’s domestic power generation capacity, strengthening the country’s energy infrastructure, and meeting the growing demand for reliable electricity.
